The 22-year-old re-joins after a short spell with the club during the 2021/22 season where he featured 26 times, scoring two goals. Prior to joining the Martyrs that season, Hillman spent time at Mangotsfield United shortly before a move to Larkhall Athletic in the Southern League Football League Division One South. Hillman began his career at Sky Bet League Two side Newport County before his release in the summer of 2019. The tricky winger made his debut for the first team in the Checkatrade Trophy against Cheltenham Town in November 2017, but that was his only senior outing for the Exiles. Speaking after his signature was confirmed, manager Paul Michael said: “Tom’s had an excellent period away from the club and developed under Lee John at Llanelli over the last season and a half. The 28-year-old arrives at Penydarren Park with valuable experience across the National League system and adds further quality, versatility and composure to Paul Michael’s squad as the Martyrs prepare for another competitive campaign in the Enterprise National League North. Humphries joined Eastleigh in July 2024 and has featured primarily at the heart of defence. A former Wales youth international, he brings a strong pedigree and physicality, tactical intelligence and a calm presence in possession. Prior to joining Eastleigh, Lloyd spent five seasons at Weston Super Mare, where he won the Seagulls Player of the Year in 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, and played every single minute for them in the latter of the two campaigns. Speaking after completing the move, Humphries said: “I’m really pleased to be joining Merthyr Town.
