Merthyr Town FC - Ticket Refund and Exchange Policy

Applies To: All Season Tickets and/or Matchday tickets purchased directly from Merthyr Town FC (both on-line and in person) or from any authorised distribution partners.

 

1. General Principle

Tickets are non-refundable once purchased, except in the circumstances outlined below. This policy ensures fairness to all supporters while maintaining operational sustainability for the club.

 

2. Refunds Due to Fixture Changes

Refunds will be offered if:

• The match is cancelled and not rescheduled.

• The match is rescheduled and the ticket holder is unable to attend the new date.

• The match is relocated to a venue significantly different from the original.

Refund requests must be submitted within 14 days of the announcement of the change.

 

3. Personal Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued for inability to attend due to personal reasons (e.g. illness, travel disruption, change of plans), except in exceptional cases such as:

• Bereavement of an immediate family member.

• Hospitalisation or serious medical emergency.

Such requests will be considered on a discretionary basis and must be supported by appropriate documentation.

 

4. Ticket Transfers

If you are unable to attend, you may:

• Transfer your ticket to another individual (subject to any age or concession restrictions),

• Contact the club to explore resale or exchange options, if available.

 

5. Season Tickets

Season ticket holders are not entitled to partial refunds for missed matches. However, the club may offer credit toward future purchases in certain cases  - for example, prolonged illness or relocation.

 

6. Requesting a Refund

To request a refund or discretionary review, please contact [Any preferred Club Email?] with:

• Your full name and ticket reference.

• Reason for request.

• Any supporting documentation (if applicable).

All requests will be reviewed within 10 working days.
