Hungerford Town – One To Watch

The Crusaders Welshman, Elis Watts, who featured in a pre-season friendly for the Martyrs earlier this season will be a constant threat to the Merthyr Town defence, after scoring 14 goals so far this season, and will be one to keep an eye on come Monday afternoon.

Form Guide

Merthyr Town –  L W D D L

Hungerford Town – W L W W W

The Martyrs are currently sitting 6th in the League table, with today’s opponents just one place and one point above in 5th, however, Hungerford have played a game more, so a win for the Martyrs would be huge!

Previous Result

Earlier this season, the Martyrs travelled to Hungerford on New Years Day, when a first half goal from Ricardo Rees, was cancelled out by Elis Watts, to ensure both teams started the New Year with a point each.

We welcome the children from Heolgerrig Red Lion Under 6s who are our match-day mascots and flag bearers for Monday’s game and will be leading the Martyrs out at Penydarren Park ahead of the game. We hope everyone has a great day at the club!
