Match Day Guide - Havant & Waterlooville

The Martyrs welcome Havant & Waterlooville to Penydarren Park on Saturday afternoon for our Pitching IN Southern League Premier fixture (3pm Kick Off).


The Martyrs will be looking to extend their unbeaten league run to nine games as we face Havant & Waterlooville in a fixture that sees the top placed martyrs take on the 7th placed, the Hawks.


Arriving at Penydarren Park

The gates at PP will be open from 12:30 – two hours and a half before kick-off against Havant & Waterlooville. Supporters are encouraged to arrive in good time, to enter the ground as easily as possible, and arrive ahead of kick-off at 3pm.

Cash and Card payments are now being accepted on the Turnstiles at the entrance to the Lyn Jones Grandstand.

Discounted Price - £10 (Included for season ticket holders of Cardiff City, Swansea City, Newport County & Wrexham)

Calling all Welsh EFL Club fans don’t forget that you get the reduced entry of £10 into any Martyrs 2024/25 home league games, on production of a valid 2024/25 Season Ticket for Cardiff City, Swansea City, Newport County or Wrexham.


Please note, card payment is now accepted on Lyn Jones Grandstand Turnstile, as well as cash payments.


Car Parking

There will only be car parking in Penydarren Park for those supporters with reserved parking spaces for the 2024/25 season, as well as a limited number of disabled parking spaces. 


Car parking is available in the Castle Street Multi-Story Car Park or College Car Park just a short 5–10-minute walk from the ground. We ask any visitors to the ground to please park respectfully in the local area around Penydarren Park and to respect the residents. 


Bar & Food Facilities

Before kick-off tomorrow, you can purchase a range of drinks from the club’s bar. Webley's will be open from 12:30pm. 


We will also have a Can Bar operating from the Academy Room based at the end of the Lyn Jones Grandstand from 14:30 onwards.


Romans Bar will unfortunately be closed on Saturday afternoon due to a private function. 


Holveys Café will be open from 2pm serving hot food, including the famous cob and chips.


Club Shop

Pay a visit to the Merthyr Town Club Shop and purchase our replica kits, leisurewear, and accessories. The store will be opening its doors from 2pm, giving Martyr's fans plenty of time to visit before entering PP!


50/50 Tickets & Matchday Programme

Our usual 50/50 tickets will be available to purchase around the ground on Saturday at just £1. The draw will be made at half-time, with the winner being announced by our matchday announcer.


Pick up a copy of our matchday programme at just £2. The programmes will be on sale around the ground prior to kick-off.

One To Watch

Former Oxford United and Morecambe forward, Harvey Bradbury, the Hawks top scorer with 10 league goals this season. The tall striker has also enjoyed spells with Dartford, Dorchester Town, Oxford City and Woking.


Armistice Day – Remembering

The Martyrs players will be wearing black armbands for the game on Saturday afternoon as we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice in conflict. Ahead of kick off, there will be the playing of the Last Post by Nicholas Brill, as both clubs hold a minutes silence. 


Mascots & Flag Bearers

We welcome the children from Penydarren BGC U10s who are our matchday mascots for Saturday’s game and will be leading the Martyrs out at Penydarren Park ahead of the game.
