Frazer Thomas

Merthyr Town Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Frazer Thomas.

The Cardiff City Academy graduate has featured for the Martyrs in pre-season upon his release, and has made some promising signs as the Southern League Premier South season edges ever closer.

The 18-year-old midfielder spent several years at the Cardiff City Stadium progressing through the age groups, most recently featuring for the U21 & U23 squads.

Last term, Thomas, the son of former Merthyr player Grant Thomas, was among many goals, the biggest one being his winning goal against Swansea City in the South Wales Derby.

Speaking on his new signing, Manager Dean Clarke said: "I'm really pleased to get Frazer's signature over the line. After some good competition, I'm delighted to win the race to sign him, he’s an exciting talent with loads of potential.

"He’s creative with a lot of energy and as the fans have seen in pre season, he can chip in with goals too. "
