Merthyr Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of former Swansea City, Plymouth Argyle and Forest Green Rovers forward, Jordon Garrick.

Garrick joins the Martyrs on a permanent basis after recently leaving League of Ireland side, St Patrick’s Athletic. The 27-year-old forward joined Swansea’s youth team in 2015 before making his full debut in 2019/20, a campaign in which he made 14 appearances for the Welsh side. During his breakthrough season he scored three goals, two of which came against Championship sides Hull City and Huddersfield Town. During his four year spell with Swansea City, Jordon enjoyed loan spells across the EFL with Swindon Town, Plymouth Argyle and Lincoln City. The forward featured heavily for Plymouth in the 2021/22 season making 42 appearances, before then retunring to Swansea City while they were in the EFL Championship. In January 2023, Garrick joined Forest Green Rovers from Swansea City for an undisclosed fee, where he would go on to score four goals in 20 appearances before then signing for Oldham Athletic. Most recently Jordon was with League of Ireland side, St Patricks Athletic, after joining them in August 2025 – he featured 12 times for them before leaving at the end of the Irish League season in November 2025, and returning back to Wales.
