Firstly, the Club would like to put on record our thanks to all supporters who have kindly taken the time to submit documents detailing their recollections of the events of Monday's match.

The club have now logged the alleged incident with the Police. As a result, we have been advised they will be seeking statements from the Hungerford Town player involved, and potentially a number of other representatives from Hungerford Town FC.

Merthyr Town FC will, of course, assist the Police in every way possible with their enquiries.

Whilst the club continues to collate statements, and would continue to welcome the accounts from any supporter at the game, we will now allow the constabularies of South Wales and Thames Valley involved to follow their various lines of inquiry.
