At the Merthyr Town FC Society Board meeting yesterday evening, the Club Directors agreed to endorse the following policy: henceforth, anyone found guilty of bringing any type of pyrotechnic - including the likes of flares, smoke bombs or any other form of incendiary devices - will immediately be subject to a minimum season-long ban, as well as face the possibly of a criminal prosecution.

This action is entirely in line with current legislation. To further remind all supporters attending games, and in addition to the information already provided in the programme and the website (Please keep off the pitch) increased signage will be displayed around the ground.
