No Receipt Returns Can Go Either Way
Lost the receipt, but still have the item and the account it was bought from. Seems like it should be enough, but not always clear how it actually plays out at the store. I’ve been in that spot before, standing there with the item and thinking the account history should be enough even if the paper receipt is long gone. In cases like that, stuff around return policy for sam's club matters more than the polished version people quote, since the real question is whether the store can pull up the purchase and move things along without turning it into a whole production. Some places make it painless. Others somehow act like missing one slip of paper changes everything.
