Mack to step down as Football Secretary

Mack to step down as Football Secretary in May 2019
 
Football secretary Jamie Mack will step down from his role at the end of the 2018/19 season.

Mack held the role for 9 seasons, beginning when the club reformed in 2010 as Merthyr Town FC.  He told club chairman Jonathon Davies and manager Gavin Williams that he wishes to take a break from the role due to other commitments early this week and met with the club’s board following this.

IT was good to see a busy Webley's Bar after this game with  probably the attraction, BT's televised Newport County v Manchester City FA Cup thriller. And a private function for 100 people followed in Romans Bar. Both should be a welcome finances boost and that is needed if  progress can be made on the field  along with stability off the pitch.

The Martyrs  snapped at the heels of the teams in the  play-off spots as they dealt a blow to Weymouth's title hopes.
