Merthyr are back in action tonight as they make the trip to Somerset as they entertain Tiverton Town in the BetVictor Southern League Premier South.

Gavin Williams and his side will be looking to act upon their disappointing 3-1 home defeat to Chesham United whist, Martyn Rodgers’ side will be looking to maintain their good form after a 4-1 away win against Hartley Wintney.

Tiverton currently sit fourth in the table with 16 points after 7 league games whereas, Merthyr currently sit 10th with ten points after 7 league games.

Last season saw the Martyrs take a point in a 2-2 showdown at The Ladysmead Stadium. A brace from Ian Traylor securing an important point for the Martyrs.

Speaking ahead of the game, Forward Ian Traylor said: “After the disappointment Saturday it’s a chance to put things right. We’ve got to go down there, put Saturday’s result behind us and go and get the 3 points”.
