F -v- H enables people to take action against prejudice and discrimination based on sexual orientation and expression in football, whilst celebrating and welcoming diversity across the game. This culminates in an international show of support in February to raise awareness of the issue and to join together in making a visible stand against prejudice and for inclusion.
Attitudes in Football are changing, but we all need to make sure that the language we use and the way we behave reflects this change.
Prejudice and discrimination are still present in many areas of football. Homophobic chanting, the use of derogatory terms, homophobic signs and banners and transphobic policies are only some examples of the discriminatory behaviour that fans, players and other stakeholders are subjected to.
To counter that, Football v Homophobia support a unified message of inclusion in stadia.
