Dean Clarke has reported no fresh injury concerns as well as a boost in the rehabilitation programmes of Ian Traylor, Cameron Keetch and Ismail Yakubu as Merthyr get set to face off with West-Super-Mare tomorrow afternoon.
Keetch has resumed light training at the MetCoaches Stadium following a knee injury, while Traylor was involved in large parts of Tuesday’s session after a recent hip injury. Both are set to be returning to action in the next couple of weeks.
The Martyrs are, however, likely to be without Ismail Yakubu for the next few games. But, Clarke has confirmed the former Newport County and AFC Wimbledon defender has begun individual training after undergoing recent surgery.
Clarke told MartyrsTV: "Yak's back training, not full training yet, but back running so that's a great sign. Traylor took part in both sessions this week, he didn't complete both but he's back out on the grass with us now.
"Keethcy on the other hand trained tonight (Thursday) and he's another one back out there, so it's been a positive week in terms of the injury front. "
Eliot Richards, meanwhile, is set to be out for another 2-3 weeks following his hamstring injury which he sustained on Boxing Day.
