Craig Reddy is leaving Merthyr Town FC following the completion of the 2018/19 playing season.

Merthyr born Reddy has played for a number of Welsh League clubs including Taffs Well, Penybont, and Treharris and joined the Martyrs in November 2017.  Craig made 18 appearances in the 2017/18 season.  This season Craig’s playing time has been limited and after a discussion with manager Gavin Williams it was decided that Craig would like to move into more of a management and coaching role.

Manager Gavin Williams said “I’d like to thank Craig for his commitment and contribution over the last 18 months.  We spoke after our last game and after having a chat with him now seems a good time for Craig to look into the management and coaching side of the game.”

Craig Reddy said “I’d like to thank the supporters, volunteers, coaching staff and players for making my time at the club so enjoyable and I wish the club well in the future.  I’m very keen to move into a management and coaching role going forward.”

The club’s board would also like to thank Craig for his commitment during a difficult time for the club, and he will always be welcome at the Met Coaches Community Stadium.
