Merthyr Town Football Club is delighted to announce the re-signing of attacking midfielder Keyon Reffell

The 30-year-old returns to the Martyrs for a second spell after making more than 70 appearances for the club on his first his arrival back in 2016.

Since then, Reffell has spent time at Barry Town United and Hereford FC, as well as a brief stint at Kidderminster Harries in the National League North.

Before that, he registered 35 Welsh Premier League appearances for Afan Lido, Camarthen Town and Port Talbot Town having worked up his way up from playing in lower leagues. The forward is also a former Cardiff City youth player and made several appearances for the club's academy system.

Now, the exciting attacker is reunited at The Met Coaches Stadium, and looks to boost a young Merthyr Town FC side going forward.

Speaking on his new signing, manager Dean Clarke said: “We are delighted to get this deal done. Keyon is a player I know well, having spent time with the club before.

“He’s in great shape and wants to learn and improve, which is always a key ingredient in our recruitment.

"He's a top professional and athlete, who will add a lot to what is a young squad this season. "
