Merthyr Town Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of exciting young prospect Dylan Jones (subject to international clearance).
The 19-year-old, whose transfer is permanent, becomes Dean Clarke's latest addition to the squad ahead of busy reign of fixtures.
During his youth career, Jones had playing stints at Cardiff City U23s, Swansea City U23s and Newport County U23s before joining Hereford FC in October 2020.
During his time at Edgar Street, the attacker featured in most of the Bulls National League North fixtures, and was also a part of the squad that reached the Buildbase FA Trophy final at Wembley last summer.
A strong runner with and without the ball, Jones spent the early parts of this season at fellow Southern League Premier South club Salisbury. He featured in all of the opening five league fixtures for Steve Claridges' side before making his move back across the welsh border.
He is a versatile player who can play in a number of positions and will be a great acquisition for Merthyr Town.
After finalising the deal, Jones said:"I'm absolutely buzzing to sign for this football club.
"I've been training with the boys for over a week and half now and its a great atmosphere around the club.
"I feel like I'm getting fitter as the weeks go on and hopefully we can build a bit of momentum. "
