Merthyr Town Football Club can confirm they have completed the signing of forward Karnell Chambers, subject to international clearance.
The 24-year-old started out his professional career at Cheltenham Town and signed for Vanarama National League South side Gloucester City in 2016/17 amidst interest from Scottish Premiership side Ross County, before impressing on loan at Cinderford Town.
He is an explosive forward and more recently had spells in the National League South & North with Gloucester City & Chippenham Town respectively.
Chambers was attracting interest from Football League clubs during his time with Chippenham before leaving the Bluebirds in February 2020.
He signed for Chippenham Town in March 2018 from Gloucester but after a spell in Sweden with Syrianska, he returned to the Tigers and made a real impact, scoring 7 goals in 28 games in 2017/18 before re-joining Chippenham.
During the 2019/20 season, he signed for Stratford in March 2020 but lockdown prevented him from making many appearances for the club.
Across his non-league career, Chambers has featured for Bishop's Cleeve, Evesham United, Cinderford Town and Stratford Town.
