An Election to the Society Board will take place soon and as many members as possible who feel they can add value to the Board are encouraged to consider standing for election, to assist in maintaining the current progress of the club.
Based on the Club's constitution the Board may consist of up to twelve elected Board members. There are currently eleven serving elected Board members with one vacant position, so in accordance with the election requirements three of the longest serving Board will step down. Therefore, four vacancies will then exist on the Board.
The three existing Board members stepping down may then reapply for election.
Nomination letters were issued to the Society's members last week.
The Nomination Form must be completed and returned (with the candidate’s statement) to the Election Management Group by Friday 11th February 2022.
If a ballot is required voting papers will be issued to all members by Friday 18th February 2022, along with nominees’ statement.
All votes will be required to be returned by Monday 7th March 2022
Should there be four or fewer candidates for the vacancies, there will not be a formal ballot of members but instead those people validly nominated will be automatically elected.
