After a tough opening fixture against Hitchin Town, The Martyrs make their way to the West Midlands to take on Stratford Town for our first away fixture of the season.

Stratford kicked off 2017/18 with a 2-1 win away to newly promoted Royston Town. Ben Stephens and Lee Thomas bagging the goals for Stratford.

As for Merthyr, Ashley Evans could make the starting line up tonight after featuring in the second half last Saturday. Gavin Williams may decide that starting his Captain may be a risk if Evans hasn't made a full recovery. Curtis McDonald is due to have an injection on his groin later today and Ryan Prosser is still recovering from his back injury. We'll give you updates on their progress as soon we receive any news.

With the next two fixtures being played away from The LoadLok Community Stadium (inc tonight), Gavin Williams will be aiming to gather as much momentum as possible to kick start our season before we return to HQ on the 26th against Franborough, followed a couple of days later with a trip to Hereford.
